How to Enable Freecam Mode in Assetto Corsa

Enabling Freecam mode in Assetto Corsa requires a one-time setup. Once done, you won't need to change it again.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Locate the AC Root Folder:Find your Assetto Corsa root folder in the Steam directory. The typical path is:Local Disk (C:) > Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > assettocorsa
  2. Navigate to the Config Folder:Inside the Assetto Corsa root folder, go to:system > cfg
  3. Edit the Configuration File:
    • Open the file named camera_onboard_free.ini with Notepad.
    • Find the line SPHERICAL_COORDS=1 and change it to SPHERICAL_COORDS=0
    • Save the file.

You have now successfully enabled Freecam mode.

Using Freecam Mode in Game

  1. Enter Replay Mode:Start a replay of your race.
