Racing Stronger Introduces RS:Plays: Casual Gaming for Mental Wellbeing

Sim racing is more than just a competitive pastime; it can be a source of connection, relaxation, and mental support. Racing Stronger, an organisation dedicated to promoting the positive effects of sim racing on mental health, is taking this idea to new heights in 2025. Their mission extends beyond racing, offering a safe and inclusive space for sim racers to connect, share their experiences, and enjoy gaming in a stress-free environment.

Starting this year, Racing Stronger will host RS:Plays, a series of casual, relaxed gaming and sim racing events. These events will run every Thursday evening from 7:15 PM UTC, offering a welcoming break from the intensity of competitive racing.

What is RS:Plays?

Each week, RS:Plays will feature a new event, ranging from sim racing challenges to games on other platforms. For example, the inaugural event features the free RSS Formula 4 mod at the stunning fantasy track, Acapone, in Assetto Corsa. Other events might include titles like Wreckfest, Circuit Superstars, and further sim racing experiences on Assetto Corsa Competizione and RaceRoom.

The events are designed to be fun, inclusive, and lighthearted—perfect for anyone looking to enjoy racing without the pressure of competition. Adam, the co-owner of Racing Stronger, will stream these sessions live from his perspective on the Racing Stronger Twitch channel, allowing participants to race alongside him or simply watch and enjoy the action.

Supported by Simracing.GP

Racing Stronger’s long-standing partnership with Simracing.GP plays a key role in making RS:Plays possible. Simracing.GP provides free servers and event spaces for the community to gather and race. However, not all RS:Plays events will take place on this platform, as Racing Stronger embraces the diversity of gaming and the joy of variety.

A Safe Space for Sim Racers

The ethos of RS:Plays isn’t just about gaming; it’s about creating a safe space for participants to unwind, chat with friends, and enjoy themselves. While Racing Stronger does not provide professional mental health services, they do offer a comforting environment and share contact details for global mental health support organisations.

Join the Fun!

If you’re looking for a way to relax, connect with like-minded individuals, and enjoy some casual racing or gaming, RS:Plays is the perfect opportunity. Whether you’re a seasoned sim racer or just starting, everyone is welcome. So, mark your calendars for Thursday nights and get ready to join the RS:Plays community!
