Super Trophy Trucks in AMS2: The Wildest Racing Yet?

Automobilista 2 continues to evolve, and the latest update brings Super Trophy Trucks – off-road monsters that deliver high-flying, dirt-slinging, wheel-lifting chaos!

We jumped into AMS2 to see what these new trucks are all about, testing them on some of the most ridiculous ramp-filled tracks available. From Hockenheim Short to Monza Junior, these trucks take traditional circuit racing and throw it out the window – literally!

What Makes Super Trophy Trucks Special?

If you’ve never seen these trucks in action, here’s what you can expect:
Massive jumps – Ramps are scattered across select circuits, turning them into an off-road playground.
Soft suspension & body roll – These trucks lean and shift weight dramatically, making them challenging to drive.
Wheel-lifting physics – The inside front wheel loves to pop up in corners, adding to the chaos.
Mid-air control – Throttle adjustments in mid-air help control landing angles for smoother landings.

AMS2’s physics engine does a great job of making these trucks feel unpredictable yet rewarding to master. If you land jumps correctly, you can keep momentum – but get it wrong, and you’ll be rolling across the track in no time.

Tracks with Ramps: Where Can You Race?

Super Trophy Trucks come with a selection of tracks featuring ramps, marked with yellow "R" symbols on the track map. Some of the most exciting locations include:
🏁 Road America – A mix of high-speed straights and jumps for big-air action.
🏁 Monza Junior – Tight, technical, and absolute chaos with a full grid.
🏁 Sebring Short – Rough terrain and ramps make this a tricky challenge.
🏁 Hockenheim Short – A great blend of traditional racing and off-road mayhem.
🏁 Long Beach – The walls make things extra spicy.

These are just a few of the ramp-enabled tracks, with many more to explore.

The AI Needs Some Work... But Imagine This With Friends!

While the driving experience is fantastic, the AI still struggles with jumps. Expect some hilarious moments as they misjudge landings and stack up mid-race. But this mode was made for multiplayer.

Imagine a full grid of real drivers, all launching off ramps at the same time. This is where Simracing.GP comes in! If you're as hooked on these trucks as we are, why not build a community around them? Whether it's casual races or a full-blown championship, the potential for fun is enormous.

Final Thoughts

The Super Trophy Trucks in AMS2 are a blast. They’re tricky to master but incredibly rewarding, and they open up a whole new way to race in the sim. If you’re looking for something different from the usual GT3 or Formula cars, this is it.
