Driver etiquette and code of behaviour
The organiser considers the code of conduct a fundamental aspect in every competition. It is precisely for that reason that if any Driver involved in these sanctioned events acts in any of the following ways, the organiser has the right to disqualify the player and/or team with immediate effect as well as removing them from the community on a permanent basis:

  • Unsporting conduct (deliberate ramming, crashing or otherwise significantly impeding competitors with intention of harming their results).
  • Driver Ping being unstable or over the agreed upon limit of 150m/s for a consistent period of time.
  • Verbal/Communication abuse directed at the organising staff and subjects involved (online and offline) in-game, or on any social platform, websites, forums etc.
  • Any kind of cheating will bring the guilty player to an instant ban from the championship and from our future events; for the avoidance of doubt this includes misuse of in-game mechanics as well as unintended exploits or external cheats.
  • Trolling.
  • Please keep discussions, feedback and opinions in a reasonable and constructive manner.
  • Any postings on social media, discords or other communication channels which damage the brands involved, its competitions, employees, exhibitors or partners will be sanctioned.
  • Or any violation that is defined in Simracing.GP Terms Of Service

Livery and team name expectations
No names, images or descriptions relating to anything of an obscene, harmful or hateful nature are permitted. Failure to comply will result in a removal from the competition. This includes driver and team names on any game for the livery selected.

Moza Challenge 24 Points Scoring

Seasons
Season points can be earnt on ANY race event within the appropriate season, but only the best 4 results will count towards the final score for each driver.

Standard base points are:

Each season then has a system that develops week by week to ensure the fairest balance across all splits regardless of strength or size of field;

  • Grid Size Adjustmentsome text
    • Applied to all events in a season
    • Points will be calculated based on the grid size: Final Points = Points × (Grid Size / Base Grid Size) + Bonus Points.
    • Bonus Points are awarded to every driver that finishes the race IF the grid is bigger than the base grid.
    • Bonus Points are determined by (Grid Size - Base Grid Size) × Bonus Points Multiplier.
    • Final points are rounded to the nearest whole number.
  • Strength of Field Multipliersome text
    • Applied to weeks 2, 3 and 4
    • SOF multiplier is applied on the final race points (including grid size adjustments, if applicable) based on SOF table values
    • Strength of Field is a sum of all drivers in each split's SGP Rank divided by the amount of drivers registered for that split.
    • This multiplier is applied after the grid size adjustment.
    • This means that if the SOF is 2000-2999 then points are unaffected but an SOF lower or higher then would adjust the scores.
    • Example with SOF of 5900 and 27 points scored after grid size adjustment made;
      27 x 1.75 = 47.25 - Rounded to 47
  • Double pointssome text
    • Week 4 - The season finale - is a double points event
    • The points after the grid size adjustment and strength of field multiplier have been added are the doubled
    • Final points are rounded to the nearest whole number

Overall Leaderboard

While in seasons only the best 4 scores count, the overall leaderboard counts all points scored in all races completed and places the drivers in an overall leaderboard of points across the entire competition.

This separate leaderboard will reward dedicated drivers that compete in more races, and not necessarily the fastest drivers only.

Grand Final

The results of the grand final will not be decided on points, but purely the finishing positions of drivers in the single event on 21st December.

Qualifying for the Grand Final

The top 6 drivers from each season will automatically qualify for the grand final on 21st December 2024.

If in any season one of the top 6 finishers has already qualified then the 7th place points scorer will then qualify. This will then be repeated until 6 drivers have qualified from each season.

Ensuring fairness
Simracing.GP reserve the right to review any platform activity if there is a suspicion of cheating. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of in-game ‘exploits’ that provide an unfair advantage, the deliberate cutting of the race track, the setting up or joining of events with the intention of not racing thus preventing other drivers from scoring points, and more.

Any action deemed by the Race Director or SGP Management Team to represent unsportsmanlike conduct may be penalised at their discretion.

  • Scrutineering
To ensure a fair playing ground for all participants, the organiser reserves the right to request replay footage and/or MOTEC data from drivers at any point of the tournament, to which the participant must adhere within the time frame specified in the request. Failure to do so may result in the participant’s removal from an event or the entire competition and any other subsequent competitions held by the organiser.
  • Making a protest
Please use the SGP platform protest system to lodge a protest which will then be reviewed before the next week’s racing.

Indemnifications
The Organisers reserve the rights to change these Regulations at any time.

  • The Organisers reserve the right to cancel or postpone a race.
  • The Organisers shall not be held liable for any losses suffered resulting from the cancellation of a race or of server crash of the race server.

Grand Final Specific Rules

This rule section is to provide additional clarification for the Grand Final event on Saturday 21st December 2024.

Server protection

For this event SGP's server protection system will be in use to protect the event from potential DDOS attacks.

A full explanation is available here https://www.simracing.gp/tutorials/server-protection - it is the responsibility of the driver to take in this information and understand it. The server will NOT be restarted to help drivers that have not followed these steps.

Live stewarding

The Grand Final will have a live stewarding team in operation who will utilise a system that automatically picks up on any contact. Each of those incidents will be reviewed as soon as time allows.

Drivers will be awarded a variety of penalties should any of their actions become noticeable to our stewarding team. The stewarding team can issue any penalty they feel fair after reviewing the incident. The penalty is not expected to reflect the outcome, but punish the decision making of the driver to cause the incident in the first place.

Warnings: Drivers will be awarded up to 1 warning for any minor contact. On receipt of 2nd warning, the car will receive a ‘Major Incident’ penalty.

Major Incident penalties include, +5, +10 +15 Second Penalties and +30/+60 Second Penalties added to the drivers total race time.

After 3 Major Incidents, The Race Director has the right to DSQ your car from the race should any further incident occur.

Alongside this penalty structure, more severe one-off penalties may be offered, using the full range of what is available and supported by the title at the Race Directors Discretion.

Should an incident occur that is not picked up by the stewards, protest reports can be filed in the normal way after the race. These reports should ONLY be for incidents that may affect the outcome of the prize winning positions.

Blue Flagged Vehicles

We would respectfully ask blue flagged cars to move out of the way when it is safe to do so without too much time loss for themselves. This is best completed with a throttle lift on a straight. If the faster car approaches during a section of corners then they MUST be patient for an opportunity to pass safely. There should be no racing or blocking.

Cars are allowed to get a lap back if they are faster than the car in front. Drivers must be civil and respectful if a lapped car is attempting to gain a lap back and not go out of their way to defend from them.

Use of in-game chat

This is strictly prohibited at all times that the server is live. This channel is only to be used by admins/stewards.
Usage will be penalised!

Server issues

  1. Kunos browser issues - If there is an issue with the Kunos server browser (showing disconnected when searching for multiplayer servers) all drivers will be instructed to use the manual connection option. Details are at https://www.simracing.gp/tutorials/how-to-join-an-acc-server-when-the-kunos-server-browser-is-down
  2. Server crash - In the event of a server crash, the Race Director will coordinate with the Server Admin Team and the competing drivers to outline plans going forward. All drivers MUST be patient and await updates from the team. There is no point in bombarding messages. Should a Race be Red Flagged and able to be restarted, the grid will be set at the last recoverable point in the previous race. This will be communicated to the drivers at the point of decisions being made.

Software issued penalties

The Race Director will not remove any penalties issued by the software for issues including, but not limited to, being out of position at race start, or exceeding the warranted 3 track cuts during an event.
