Creating practice servers on Simracing.GP is now easier than ever. With on-demand servers, you can tailor sessions to your needs and practice whenever you want. Here's a step-by-step guide:
Step 1: Find Your Event
Go to the event page for the session you’re registered in.
Look for the Create Practice button next to the event details.
Step 2: Set Up Your Practice Server
Clicking Create Practice will open a pop-up window where you can customise your session:
Server Name: Personalise the name if you plan to invite friends.
Start Time: Choose when your session will begin—either immediately or later.
Server Location: Select the most suitable region for optimal performance (e.g., Dublin for UK users).
Show Password: Tick this box if you want others in your community to see the server password.
Step 3: Check or Purchase Minutes
The pop-up will show the remaining practice minutes in your account. If you need more:
Click Buy Minutes to purchase a pack of 600 minutes for £5.99 (plus VAT).
Your remaining minutes will adjust automatically after purchase.
Step 4: Configure Duration and Driver Slots
The amount of practice time used depends on:
The session duration.
The number of driver slots.
Adjust the sliders to mix and match these settings. For example, a 30-minute session for 4 drivers only uses 15 minutes of your account time. The system calculates this for you in real time.
Step 5: Launch Your Server
Click Create to confirm your setup. Within a few minutes, your practice server will be live.
Step 6: Join the Server in ACC
Open ACC and navigate to the multiplayer server list.
Copy the server name and paste it into the search bar.
Copy the password from Simracing.GP and use it to join the server.
Select your car and hit Connect.
