Tutorial: Joining a Race Server When the ACC Server Browser Is Offline
If the Kunos server browser is down in Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC) and you see a red "disconnected" dot in the corner, here’s how to connect to your race server manually. This easy workaround will have you ready to race in just a few steps.
Step 1: Download the Server List
- Go to the Race Event
Find and navigate to the event you’re registered for on the ACC interface. - Click the Download Button
Look for a download button next to your event. Clicking it will prompt a download of a file called server list. - Save the Instructions
Copy the instructions shown for later reference, if provided.
Step 2: Place the Server List in the Correct Folder
- Locate the File
Go to your downloads folder where the server list file is saved. - Copy the File
Right-click the file and select "Copy." - Paste in ACC’s Config Folder
Navigate to your ACC config folder:some text- Open Documents > Assetto Corsa Competizione > Config
- Paste the server list file into this folder.
Step 3: Load ACC and Access LAN Servers
- Open ACC and Go to Multiplayer
Launch ACC and go to the Multiplayer section as usual, even if it says “disconnected” in the corner. - Wait for the Server List to Load
Click on Server List and wait patiently. You’ll get an error message when it fails to load, which is expected. - Select LAN Servers
After the error appears, click on LAN Servers. Your race server should now appear.
Step 4: Join the Server
- Select Your Server
Click on your server from the LAN list. - Enter the Password
Type in the password if required, and join as usual.
That’s it! You’ve successfully joined your ACC race server despite the Kunos server browser issue. Happy racing!
